I'm not sure why, but I really like stories like this. Do you ever need to find something and can't find it, but then, when you don't need it, you find it again? Lol. Last time this happened to me, I was looking for tums for my sister. I didn't find it, but then the next day, as I was preparing to go out of town, I found it in the place I was looking for it the day before. Lol.

Um... Yeah, this happens to me all the time with all my techy toys. Strange...

I used to have those kinds of experiences a lot. But it's been a long time, since I had one of those.

in my opinion, the reason you find said item when you aren't looking for it is likely cause you aren't solely focused on doing so.
when you are, that worsens things cause you probably aren't thinking of anything else.
not all that strange, really; just a fact of life that some have figured out how to work around.

got born again too.
One day my mom told me I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached, so I learned to organize. Lol

I think sometimes when you start to look for something and can't find it right away you start to panic and then you're not really looking carefully anymore. This has happened to me. Usually if I slow down and start looking more carefully, I can find the item. This happens when I am riffling through a purse or trying to find an item on my dresser or any other flat surface or drawer. If I slow down and go through the items one by one, I can usually find what I want.

It happens because I came over to your house and moved it. then when you didn't need it anymore, I put it back so you'd find it again. Now my secret's out, I guess.

hahahaha this has happened to me many times. I used to panic when I couldn't find something but I've discovered it's better to just sit down for a few minutes and try to remember where you last placed the item.

I lose stuff all the time. Eventually, I give up looking for whatever I have lost. Then a month or 2 later, I'll find what I was looking for in the first place while I'm looking for my most recent lost item. I waste half my life looking for crap. Clearly, I am not very organized. I should probably work on that.

Organization is key. That word didn't exist in my vocabulary in high school and that's probably why I couldn't find half the things I lost until after I needed them. I actually had a friend who lost his prom ticket, and his date's ticket. He found them the next day, no lie, at his x's house.

I actually looked for half an hour for my belt once, only to find I already had it on me. No lie. I was about ten at the time. Of course it happens, even to the most organized of us, but that belt incident, I think trumps any of my other lost items. Talk about feeling foolish after that one!

Don't feel too bad. One time, I looked for my headphones while listening to music with them. I learned that being able to laugh at yourself for things like that not only lightens the mood, but it actually helps me avoid making the same mistake again.

Chelse and Becky, couldn't have said it better. Leo, I knew it!!! Lol. Yeah, I lose sstuff constantly and I always think situations like that are super amusing. Lol Ocean Dream, can't tell you how many times I've done that.

How about looking for your phone when you're actually talkiing on it, have had that happen more than once

Post 22 by Siriusly Severus (The ESTJ 1w9 3w4 6w7 The Taskmaste) on Wednesday, 22-Aug-2012 17:44:25

do that too! lose stuff, and I am pretty organized, mostly small things, keys, school id, usb drives, sd cards, other cards and more. and, I am pretty organized.

Oh I've done stuff like that many times. was wearing my lanyard, and look all over for it. or the most funny time was, okay so this backpack was at least 5 pounds if not more, no joke, people often joked it had bricks in it. in fifth grade, I had it on my back and was about to rush out to meet dad who came to pick me up from school early ends up for a surprise arty, and I foolishly look all over the ground for it. and then someone asked, what are you looking for? I told them my backpack and then they told me, it's on your back. hahahaha!
